Curriculum

Education is changing rapidly and the covid era saw major shift away from the idea that face-to-face teaching was the only real way to educate school-age children. Today, many students are learning using a blend of face-to-face and on-line learning.

Riverina Christian College will be adopting the approach to teaching and learning as set out below in the ‘New Vision for Education’ document as we prepare students for life and work in the future world. Teaching will be face-to-face but opportunity is available for students to join on-line classes for some specialist subjects if necessary.

Expressions of interest received indicated a high interest in Years 7 and above so we are starting with Years 7 and 8 and will grow each year through to Year 12 in 2030. We have scope on site to offer Agriculture and to utilise local resources to equip students for rural work. Vocational education programs and courses will also be available especially to those in the senior years of school. We are especially pleased with the partnership we have with the South West Music Regional Conservatorium (please see News and Events for details).

The Melos Group have a focus on academic achievement and will expect students to attend with a focus on learning and achieving academically. Our philosophy of education – Education for Wisdom, drives all we do in teaching and learning to help each student excel.
